Dear Friends,
We think it is a great time to share some information about our Madison Valley Woman’s Club and its fundraising store, The Nearly New Shoppe. This year the Madison Valley Woman’s Club is one hundred years old and our Club joined the General Federation of Woman’s Clubs in 1921. We have been raising money for our community through the operation of our Nearly New Shoppe for almost 50 years.
The Madison Valley Woman’s Club and our Nearly New Shoppe are 100% volunteer organizations. All members of the board and every worker you meet when you shop at our Nearly New Shoppe are volunteers.
We are so grateful to our community for their support in giving us wonderful donations and shopping at our store. In return, we offer our community a place to shop for clothing, home furnishings, tools, books and many other marvelous items for very fair prices. We hope our Nearly New Shoppe benefits everyone in our community. As a result of your support of our Shoppe, we are able to fund more than $100,000 in donations back to the community EVERY YEAR in the form of academic scholarships, camp scholarships for our youth and donations to almost every service or charitable organization in Madison County: our library, our fire department, our ambulance, our hospital, our schools, our community preschool, our Senior Center, the tennis courts, and the spay and neuter clinic, to name a few.
